Dennings dated her "2 Broke Girls" co-star, Nick Zano, from the year 2011 until 2014. After breaking up, she then began dating the singer Josh Groban. They remained together until 2016. Dennings as well as Andrew W.K. met in the early part of 2021. The couple soon began dating. They announced their commitment to each other in May 2021. Dennings is a huge fan from 2014. Dennings grew up Jewish but has said that religion is not a part of her daily life. There are a myriad of hobbies, including gardening, painting and reading. When she was a child, her original plan to enter art school was foiled by a flooding that destroyed all of her artwork.
