She was in 1972 when she turned 18 year old when she appeared as Joan Crawford's daughter on the popular television series The Sixth Sense. The series was Joan's final appearance. Rumor has it that Anne did not want to be Laurie Strode, the character that John Carpenter created in his 1978 horror film Halloween. The part was played by Jaime Lee Curtis. The actor. Carpenter says that he wanted her for the role but that she turned away from the role. Anne isn't sure if she remembers John Carpenter contacting her or offer the part. Her agent may decline the job for her and with their knowledge. The initial decision was by Glen Larson who sent her an extremely preliminary script to play an appearance in the 1978 television series Battlestar Galactica. The actress initially refused the part due to the fact that her character wasn't to be strong enough. Later Glen made a different part exclusively for her featuring the character that was stronger, Sheba. The Living Legend was accepted following her reading of the original 25 pages of the script. The show ran for just one season. She was seen in Joyride an 1977 film which starred Desi Arnaz Jr. Melanie Griffith Robert Carradine (the son of Desi Arnaz Jr. Lucille ball) and Desi Arnaz Jr.
