Awkwafina

Awkwafina began as an American rapper and singer, performing sly tunes that dealt with topics like racial or sexual identities with a funny twist. Before expanding into Hollywood, she had the opportunity to make a few songs. She was born Nora Lum to Chinese and Korean immigrants from Forest Hills Queens her first encounter with the world of music was through the trumpet. Then, she started traditional and hip-hop training. When she was in college, she concentrated on her studies and studied women's studies and journalism. In a short period of time, in Beijing, Mandarin language classes were also offered. It wasn't until she graduated that she start focusing on music. The track My Vag which was her reaction to Mickey Avalon's My Dick, became a viral hit via the Internet and was later featured on her first LP Yellow Ranger. It also contained viral hits such as the body positive Queef or winking hometown tour NYC Bitche$. The last track was connected directly to Awkwafina's NYC travel guide released in the year 2015. With musician and author in her portfolio, she decided to set her sights on an actor for a third venture. Her film credits include films such as Neighbors 2 Storks as well as Bad Rap. In 2018, she scored her first major role in a number of high-profile movies like Dude Ocean's 8 and Crazy Rich Asians. The EP was released by"In Fina We Trust in June of that year.
